The Registry workforce will also see an increase in new police officers and training to focus on initiating the seizure of firearms and licence suspensions as well as revocations in appropriate situations.

NSW HAS LOWEST UNEMPLOYMENT RATE OF ANY STATE

Image result for nsw governmentNew South Wales remains the jobs capital of Australia with ABS figures released today showing we have the lowest unemployment rate of any state at just 4.4 per cent.

 

NSW added 12,963 jobs in July with the participation rate in NSW at 65.9 per cent, while the NSW unemployment rate fell 0.2 percentage points.

 

NSW remains well below the national unemployment rate of 5.2 per cent and is lower than our neighbour states of Victoria 4.8 per cent, Queensland 6.4 per cent, and South Australia 6.9 per cent.

Image result for nsw ruralRegional NSW is experiencing an employment boom with nearly 15,000 added jobs over the past year according to the latest data from the ABS.

The four-year jobs target for the regions of 30,000 new jobs has been smashed with 95,600 jobs added since 2015.

The unemployment rate for Regional NSW is currently 5.2 per cent, a decrease of 0.5 per cent through the year.

NSW Treasurer Dominic Perrottet said the people of Regional NSW are the backbone of the state.

The Bert Evans Apprenticeship Scholarships were introduced in 2014. They help apprentices in NSW who are experiencing hardship in their personal circumstances and have demonstrated a positive attitude and application in the workplace throughout their studies.
