Muslim Nations Now Aligning with India, Says BJP MP Jay Panda After Gulf Visit; Slams Pakistan and Opposition

New Delhi, June 3, 2025 — Senior BJP leader and Member of Parliament Baijayant ‘Jay’ Panda has taken a direct swipe at Pakistan and sections of the Indian opposition after returning from a diplomatic visit to key Gulf nations. Leading a delegation of Indian MPs, Panda highlighted the growing trust and warmth between India and Muslim-majority countries in the Middle East, asserting that the geopolitical equations are rapidly shifting in India’s favour.

Speaking to reporters in New Delhi upon his return, Panda emphasized, “The perception of India among Muslim countries is far more positive than what is often portrayed by some elements within our own country. In fact, the leadership and people in these countries see India as a strong, stable, and secular democracy that is forging ahead.”

Panda noted that the delegation received a warm reception in several Gulf nations, including the UAE, Oman, and Saudi Arabia, where discussions were held on trade, cultural exchanges, and mutual cooperation in areas such as energy, technology, and defence.

Taking a dig at Pakistan, he added, “Pakistan needs to realize that the world, especially the Islamic nations, no longer view India through their outdated, adversarial lens. They are forging partnerships with India based on mutual respect, economic opportunity, and shared goals. The same cannot be said about Pakistan, which continues to isolate itself diplomatically.”

Panda also accused the Indian opposition of attempting to project a negative image of the country on global platforms. “Some Indian political figures are unfortunately working against national interests by spreading disinformation abroad. This kind of conduct only weakens India’s position and fails to reflect the maturity required in global diplomacy,” he stated.

The multi-party delegation reportedly engaged with business leaders, think tanks, and government officials during their tour, which Panda described as a significant step in strengthening India’s soft power and global image, particularly in the Islamic world.

The visit comes at a time when India’s ties with Gulf nations are at an all-time high, marked by increasing trade volume, strategic cooperation, and a shared commitment to regional stability.
