New Delhi, May 17, 2025 — In a significant diplomatic move, India has launched Operation Sindoor, a coordinated all-party effort to internationally expose Pakistan’s continued support for terrorism. The initiative brings together prominent leaders across party lines, forming what is now being referred to as "Team India" on global forums.
The delegation includes key political figures such as Congress MP Shashi Tharoor, NCP leader Supriya Sule, and Eknath Shinde. The effort is being spearheaded by Union Minister of Parliamentary Affairs Kiren Rijiju, who stated that terrorism is a national issue that transcends political boundaries.
"This is not about politics, it is about India’s global responsibility to combat terrorism and hold its sponsors accountable," Rijiju said during a press briefing. "We are united in our mission to reveal the truth before the world."
Under Operation Sindoor, the delegation will visit several international platforms, including the United Nations and key global summits, to present evidence and highlight the impact of cross-border terrorism originating from Pakistan. The plan includes engaging with foreign governments, media outlets, and civil society groups to strengthen global consensus against state-sponsored terrorism.
The move comes in the wake of renewed attacks on Indian soil and rising concerns over Pakistan's failure to dismantle terror networks operating within its borders.
Political analysts have lauded the initiative as a rare moment of national unity. “Bringing together leaders from the ruling party and opposition to represent a common cause on the world stage sends a powerful message,” said foreign policy expert Ramesh Jha.
The government is also expected to release a detailed dossier of Pakistan-based terrorist activities, which will be shared during international engagements.
This all-party front is seen as a bold and strategic shift in India’s diplomatic approach—one that blends political consensus with proactive international outreach.
