New Delhi, May 24, 2025 — In a significant diplomatic initiative aimed at exposing Pakistan’s support for terrorism on global platforms, India has dispatched two high-level delegations to key international destinations.
One delegation, led by senior Congress MP Dr. Shashi Tharoor, has departed for the United States, with scheduled visits to Panama and Guyana as well. The second team, headed by BJP National Vice President Baijayant ‘Jay’ Panda, is en route to Saudi Arabia.
These delegations are part of India’s sustained efforts to counter Pakistan’s narrative on the global stage and to highlight its continued patronage of terrorist networks. Sources in the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) said the move comes in the wake of increased international attention on state-sponsored terrorism, especially in South Asia.
Dr. Tharoor, known for his eloquence and deep understanding of international diplomacy, is expected to engage with U.S. lawmakers, think tanks, and diaspora groups to present a comprehensive dossier on Pakistan’s involvement in cross-border terrorism.
Meanwhile, Baijayant Panda’s team will be holding strategic discussions in Saudi Arabia, focusing on regional security and cooperation in combating terrorism. Saudi Arabia, being a key partner in the Gulf and a prominent voice in the Islamic world, holds significance in India’s diplomatic strategy.
Both delegations are carrying official documents and multimedia evidence showcasing Pakistan’s complicity in harboring terrorist elements. The Indian government hopes that these coordinated efforts will help garner international support and increase pressure on Islamabad to act decisively against terrorism.
This dual-pronged diplomatic offensive underscores India’s unified political stance on national security, cutting across party lines. It also reflects New Delhi's proactive approach to counter-terrorism diplomacy ahead of major international summits.
