In a dramatic turn of events, a plane carrying a delegation of Indian Members of Parliament, including DMK leader Kanimozhi Karunanidhi, was forced to circle mid-air for an extended period on Thursday due to a suspected Ukrainian drone attack near a major Moscow airport.
The aircraft, en route to Moscow for an official diplomatic engagement, was approaching the airport when authorities put all incoming flights on hold following reports of drone activity in the vicinity. According to sources, the attack was intercepted by Russian air defense systems, but flight operations were temporarily suspended as a precautionary measure.
Eyewitnesses and flight tracking data confirmed that the plane was placed in a holding pattern over the Russian capital, with passengers onboard unaware of the full extent of the developing situation until after landing. No injuries or damages were reported.
