Sydney, Australia – In a landmark cultural event, a grand Shaam-e-Ghazal was organised at Australia’s most iconic venue, the Sydney Opera House, by renowned event promoters Chiraag Parikh and Foram Parikh of StarAlliance Australia.
The evening featured two of India’s most celebrated ghazal maestros — Anup Jalota and Talat Aziz — who enchanted a packed audience of nearly 2,200 attendees with their soulful renditions. The duo not only performed their own timeless classics but also paid heartfelt tributes to legends Jagjit Singh and Pankaj Udhas, evoking deep nostalgia and admiration from the audience.
The event was a resounding success with the Concert Hall fully sold out, confirming the undiminished global appeal of ghazals and the remarkable organisational capability of the Parikh duo. Both singers also delighted the audience by responding to popular song requests, creating an intimate and engaging musical experience.
This event marks yet another milestone for Chiraag and Foram, who are the only Indian organisers to have successfully hosted multiple Indian concerts at the Sydney Opera House — a feat that includes last year's record-setting double shows by Bollywood icon Sonu Nigam on the same day.
With over 200 shows produced across the globe, StarAlliance Australia continues to redefine Indian entertainment in the diaspora, bringing high-quality musical and cultural experiences to international audiences.
The Shaam-e-Ghazal evening stands as a testament to the timeless magic of Indian music and the growing cultural bridge between India and Australia.
