In a significant diplomatic initiative following Operation Sindoor, the Indian government has launched a global outreach program to expose Pakistan’s terror infrastructure and reiterate India’s zero-tolerance policy towards terrorism. As part of this campaign, seven multiparty delegations comprising 51 political leaders and former ministers will visit 33 global capitals to present India's perspective on cross-border terrorism.
The initiative aims to highlight India’s firm stance against terrorism and hold Pakistan accountable on international platforms. The delegations will represent India in countries across the Americas, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East, including a visit to the European Union headquarters in Brussels, Belgium.
Key Delegation Leaders and Destinations
The delegations will be led by senior Indian politicians such as Baijayant Panda (BJP), Ravi Shankar Prasad (BJP), Sanjay Kumar Jha (JDU), Shrikant Shinde (Shiv Sena), Shashi Tharoor (Congress), Kanimozhi (DMK), and Supriya Sule (NCP-SP). They are expected to engage with political, diplomatic, and civil society leaders in their respective destinations.
All-Party Representation and Inclusivity
The outreach will involve leaders from across the political spectrum, with 31 members from the ruling NDA and 20 from opposition and non-NDA parties. Each delegation will also include a former diplomat for strategic guidance, ensuring India’s message is delivered with clarity and depth.
To underscore inclusivity, each of the seven delegations includes at least one Muslim representative, either a politician or a diplomat.
Kiren Rijiju's Message: One Mission. One Message. One India.
Union Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, Kiren Rijiju, announced the mission on social media, stating, "One Mission. One Message. One India. Seven all-party delegations will soon visit key global capitals under Operation Sindoor to reflect our collective resolve against terrorism."
Inclusion of Eminent Former Ministers
Several respected former union ministers such as Ghulam Nabi Azad, M.J. Akbar, Anand Sharma, V. Muraleedharan, Salman Khurshid, and S.S. Ahluwalia—though not currently serving MPs—will also participate, lending gravitas to the initiative.
