Operation Sindoor: BJP MP Ghulam Ali Khatana Slams Pakistan, Says “One Hand Begs, The Other Spreads Terrorism”

As part of a three-day European tour, a high-level all-party Indian parliamentary delegation led by senior BJP leader and MP Ravi Shankar Prasad visited London to engage with diaspora and diplomatic representatives. Among the nine-member team was BJP Rajya Sabha MP Ghulam Ali Khatana, who strongly criticised Pakistan for what he termed its “double standards” — seeking international aid on one hand while supporting terrorism on the other.

Speaking at the India House in London during an interactive session with members of the Indian diaspora on Sunday, Khatana delivered a firm message: “The days are gone when Pakistan could get away with duplicity. On one side, it begs for aid. On the other, it nurtures and exports terrorism. We are here in Europe, and our colleagues are in other parts of the world, to send a clear signal — India knows how to crush terrorism. We do not require any third-party mediation.”

The delegation includes prominent leaders across the political spectrum such as Daggubati Purandeswari, Priyanka Chaturvedi, Ghulam Ali Khatana, Amar Singh, Samik Bhattacharya, M. Thambidurai, former Union Minister of State M.J. Akbar, and Ambassador Pankaj Saran.

Khatana emphasised that every Indian, especially those overseas, plays a crucial role in projecting India’s stance to the world: “You are our ambassadors. While our armed forces fight on the borders, we must wage a diplomatic and digital battle globally. We must not remain silent or think that this is someone else’s responsibility.”

The remarks come amid rising global concerns about cross-border terrorism and renewed debates on Pakistan’s international positioning. The Indian delegation’s visit under “Operation Sindoor” is seen as part of India’s broader diplomatic initiative to counter false narratives and strengthen international support on key security issues.
