"PoK Will One Day Be Ours; Pakistan Will Pay a Heavy Price for Terrorism": Rajnath Singh's Firm Warning

In a strong and unambiguous message, India’s Defence Minister Rajnath Singh asserted on Wednesday that Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) will one day be a part of India and warned Pakistan of dire consequences for continuing to shelter and promote terrorism.

Addressing a public gathering during his visit to a border region in Jammu and Kashmir, Singh said, “PoK was, is, and will always remain an integral part of India. The day is not far when it will be under India’s administration. Pakistan will have to pay a heavy price for nurturing terrorism.”

Singh emphasized that India's armed forces are fully capable of responding to any form of aggression and that the country’s patience should not be mistaken for weakness. He added that the government's policy of zero tolerance towards terrorism has sent a clear message to hostile neighbours.

Referring to recent counter-terrorism operations in the Kashmir Valley, Singh praised the security forces for their “unparalleled bravery and commitment” and reiterated the government’s resolve to eliminate terrorism from Indian soil.

The Defence Minister also said that India is committed to the welfare and security of its citizens living in border areas and announced additional support measures for their safety and infrastructure development.

His remarks come amid heightened tensions at the Line of Control (LoC), with reports of frequent ceasefire violations and attempted infiltrations from across the border.

Singh's statement has been welcomed by several political leaders and defence experts who view it as a reaffirmation of India's stance on territorial sovereignty and its firm stand against cross-border terrorism.
